2. Are people moving away from ebooks?

A customer asked me this question last week, and I felt
is was worth mentioning here.
Basically its one of those "What direction is the Net
heading in next?" kinda questions.
I think over the next few years we are going to see a
quite a few changes in what sells online, and how its
sold.
Even now we're starting to see more and more products
adding audio and video enhancements.
For example, the excellent "33 Days To Online Profits"
by Yanik Silver and Jim Edwards has been updated to
include videos to make it easier to understand what
they are teaching.
This is a great idea because it makes it easier for
many people to follow along and get a better under-
standing of the material, but it also adds a lot to
the value of the product.
It is now shipped on CD-ROM, so you get an actual,
physical product delivered to your door.
I know that many people prefer this method. I see
this in how well Jim Daniels' Make A Living Online
book sells.
Even though it is more expensive than some products,
it sells extremely well, and people really learn a
lot from it.
For me, I liked being able to read it while sitting
on the back porch, or in my favorite recliner. It
was nice to be away from the computer for once.
Back to the question: "Are people moving away from
ebooks?"
I don't believe so. We'll see enhancements and
changes to what is currently available, but they
won't go away.
The fact of the matter is they exemplify the true
value of the Internet:
Instant information.
For some, having a product show up in their mailbox
is great, but for others being able to instantly get
to the information they are looking for is much more
important.
Many times when I purchase an ebook, I'm looking for
a very specific piece of information, and I want it
right then.
In fact, I made a purchase recently where I decided
to use Paypal to pay for it. After I was done I
found out that Paypal orders take a day before they
send you the download link.
What!?
I wanted it then, not the next day!
I guess I've become spoiled ;-)
What I've seen quite a few people doing these days
is adding audio such as interviews along with their
products.
A great example is the one I told you about last
week called: "Ultimate Information Entrepreneur's

When you purchase his ebook you also get two killer
interviews of Yanik Silver and Willie Crawford.
I've listened to both of them twice already, and
will listen again this weekend. They are awesome,
and its nice to be able to put a voice to all the
stuff I've read from these guys.
So, if you're planning on creating an ebook, go
right ahead. You'll be making sales of it for a
long time to come!
Worst case scenario, if the trends start to move
away from them, you can always repackage your
information in another format and make a ton of
money off of it too.
