Apparently Commission Junction has decided to increase its rates
once again, and many merchants aren't too happy about it.

I can't say I blame them. You setup your affiliate program and
structure the payouts to cover your expenses and hopefully make
some money for both your affiliates and your own company.

When fees and other charges start to creep up to a point that
you aren't making any money it becomes difficult to continue.

Affiliates lose because a program that might have been bringing
in a decent amount of money every month either decreases their
payouts or completely closes.
