I've been busy doing some reading the past few days and
haven't had much time for anything else. I reread Marlon's
new Associate Program Marketing Handbook that I told you
about recently ( http://www.affmatch.com/resell )
I like to read most marketing manuals at least twice to
pick up on the things that I might have missed the first
time through. Invariably there is always something that
I overlooked.
Yesterday I bought a great book from Corey Rudl that I'm
about half-way finsihed with. It is really great! I'll
tell you about it next week after I've finished it.

Last week I joined a fairly new affiliate program to promote
from a site that I have that caters to singles and pen-pals
and such.
I've been doing really well with Match.com but after I ran
across this one I decided to give it a try for awhile to see
how it really works.
The site is called DatingTech and the affiliate program is
being run by Glenn Sobel (one of my competitors.)
From the looks of things Glenn has done a great job. The
program has just the things that I like to see in an affiliate
program such as:
High payouts - Pays 55% commissions for referring people to
them that signup for premium service
Lifetime commissions - You are paid a commission on all revenue
including renewals for as long as the customer stays with them
2-Tier payouts - Pays 10% of revenue generated by webmasters
referred by you
Easy to sell - Singles and dating is one of the hottest topics
on the Internet, and very easy to sell
The way the program works is you create your site following an
online form that walks you through the process. Then you start
generating traffic to your site and visitors can signup for
free.
Once they signup they can view all profiles and accept email
from other members. But they can't send email to other members
without first signing up for premium service.

It only took a few minutes to setup and so far I already have
a decent number of members that have signed up for the free
service.
Now it is up to DatingTech to convert them to paid customers
so that I can start building my commissions.

3. Doing any business in the UK?
